Requester
Name: Catalina Vasquez
Institution: Nanostics (Edmonton, Canada)
Web: Press release
Description of project:
Nanostics is developing a prognostic test to predict the severity of COVID-19 for individual patients based on 1) the number of coronavirus particles in biosamples, and 2) patient characteristics and common clinical laboratory test results. Acquiring this information as well as COVID-19 patient outcomes (mild symptoms, hospitalization required, death) will enable creation of more accurate COVID-19 prognostic models for better clinical management of COVID-19.
Terms of collaboration:
The requester is open to co-authorship of any eventual paper or to other forms of compensation for the data provided. Please note that the requester is a private company.
Detailed description of data:
Nanostics requests the clinical features below (should they exist) for 1,000 patients or more, but not all data need to come from a single collaborator. Patient ids can be anonymized to maintain patient privacy. Retrospective data is ideal although prospective data collection is also acceptable. For clinical features below ending with *, the date should also be provided of when the result was acquired (or assessment performed).
Status of ethical approval:
The requester will handle anonymized data. They are willing to work with the data provider to obtain any necessary ethical approvals to collect the data.
